What would have happened?

A fire burns inside her heart, slowly dying when it was time to part.
A single tear ran down her cheek, a sad reminder, of that horrible week.
A heated fight, that ended it all, a screaming fit, a hung up call.
What would have happened if I never hung up? If I never yelled, If I never gave up?
