Never, ever, ever, buy Dell.

Out of 17 years of my life, and 40 years of my fathers life, we've spend most of our lives repairing computers, and 95% of our customers come from Dell.

Their just not built to last, not to mention their customer service is horrible.

To answer your question, if it's covered under Dell warranty, then I'm afraid you'd more than likely have to go with a Dell replacement. :/
I sit in this small hole and think

the voices aren't real

but they have the most beautiful ideas.

Many people say Dell isn't the greatest. You might need to buy a new battery.

Buy a new battery by ringing them, or something like that.

Dells are great and powerful if they work properly just after a few years you may get some problems.
When getting a battery always make sure it's the same one as your previous as it can cause problems if it aint.
Or ask a specialist as maybe some other batteries could be compatible.

If Dell is so bad then what is the greatest? I've heard that Asus are pretty nice. And building a PC is always the best option however does the same go for laptops?

You think you have it bad. When mine is off charge it would last 20 minutes tops on lowest performance.

As mentioned before, try contacting Dell to get a battery replacement. Make sure you request them to see if you have a warranty or not. You might get a free replacement. Thumbsup

As everyone has said, if your still under warranty, you should try contacting Dell for a replacement. I also find that you should leave the power cord connected for a long time. You need to unplug it and connect it whenever battery is low. You have to put your battery to work if not your battery won't last long. I had the same problem with mines and a member Death Trap™ recommended me that so the battery can last longer. I had a laptop that last only for 30 minutes. It depends on what you do like gaming and stuff multitasking you drain more power.
