I wanted to create a simple userbar but still do something a little different with it. Not sure how this one really looks, I've never tried moving away from the obvious style with userbars, so some feedback is really needed.

Anyway heres a .PSD if anyone wants it,

Nice logo and text and colours. However the gap is not working for me.

Thats what I wasn't sure about either. I really wanted to move away from the basic bar that everybody does and try something different but I don't think its worked on this occasion.

Not if it start high left, goes under text and like wave effect around the text if you know what I mean?

It is 2D so thats probably why it looks 2D lol.. I kept it simple.

It looks really good for a plain bar. Reminds me of a tech forum userbar. So I tried adding a little windows button type of look to it (from your template)
