See for me gender is decided by mother nature at birth.
Anything after that is mental.
I may be wrong. And if i am then i am nieve.
But i hear ya mate. Im just offering my opinion. I do hear ya and dont hate or even completely disagree if that makes sense.
Its like religion for me. I know god dont exist yet i know people believe they do so i respect that.
Just my opinions as are yours mate. And both valid i feel.

Scientifically speaking, there are two sexes: the male and female. Socially speaking - because humans are social creatures - there are several genders. Identity theory acknowledges the queer communities' self-identification of their genders as LGBTQ. Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer.

So it is acceptable to say that nature decides the sex, and self-identification decides the gender.

The acronym LGBTQ indicates how ideas of gender and sexuality progressed over time.
#1. Lesbian, Gay - homosexuality
#2. Bisexual - heterosexuality and homosexuality
#3. Transgender - transsexual sexuality
#4. Queer - variable sexualities.

Pansexuality, which defines a sexual orientation that is encompassing of all genders and more, seems to me a development of LGBTQ identity theory.

There is no such concept as tri-sexuality.

Practically speaking, pansexuality is a theoretical construct that is not popularly understood. Tedious explanation will be required if you wish others to understand, let alone accept, this definition of yourself. Personally, I would stick with 'it's complicated' and be selective about whom to educate.

Interesting read i must say. However you need to understand something.
Simply because someone does not agree with you does not make then ignorant and there for in need of education as you put it.
Its easy to copy paste stuff.
Must admit i look back through this whole post through my spell checker think built into FF and the only words i see wrong are this.
Transgender and pansexuality. Just thought i would throw that it.
Again dont think i am ignorant i am not. I have a mates daughter who is wanting to or actually pretending to be a guy currently. She will ultimately do the surgery and take meds for the rest of her life.
Do i consider her a man now. Or will i then? Nope. I like to think of things a bit more black and white.
I would consider her a Female who changed into a Male. I would out of respect call her by her new name however i cant hide reality.
Just because it looks like fish and smells like fish dont make it fish. Call me old fashioned that way.
But back to the core of it. 2 is all there is and will be.
On occasion someone can have abnormal birth sure. However rare and ABNORMAL. Beyond that it comes down to chemisty and environment i would have felt.

DAMINK, I always think you're ignorant. Not by fact, but by trade. You're just naturally ignorant sounding. Lmao. No really though, I wouldn't worry what people think about you. TBH, I wouldn't care if they all thought I was the dumbest thing since someone started smoking marijuana.

What about Hermaphrodites? You can't say they are male or female, they are both.

They may have both sexual organs yes. But if you were to ask a doctor what gender i think they may be able to distinguish?
If im not mistaken someone born with both sexual organs is considered "Abnormal" and therefor in the given hypothetical they would not be considered for deployment any more than someone with cancer or 3 heads or 7 fingers or whatever man.

I'ma throw something in with that. Theory suggests (Natural Selection) that some abnormalities/mutations are beneficial to a beings welfare in an environment. So "hypothetically speaking" Any mutations that suggest beneficial characteristics towards the new environment should be given the change to live in another environment. If a hermaphrodite has beneficial traits, then they should go just as much as anyone else.
