What is a .firefox file?
#1
Hi,

New forum fella here.

I feel rather stupid asking this, but I backed up FF with a program I found on the net after not being able to find a walk thru on the topic. I just had a HD crash but reinstalled XP, FF and TB, but lost the program that backed up FF and TB. All I know is that the file extension the program produced was a files with a ".Firefox" and ".Thunderbird" extension, which I have saved on CD. Now I'd really like to get the bookmarks and emails back but am at a loss as to what I used.

HELP!

Thanks in advance.

In unix bases systems, a period appended on a filename means the file is hidden, so maybe its a directory. In order to give you a more helpful answer, you'll need to tell us what the program was that you used to make the backup.
