Okay, I'll give ya those two things but they aren't things that effect me. I have web music disabled because I'm usually listening to my own tunes as I surf and I don't care to hear two things at one time. As far as MSN toolbar goes, I use Google toolbar so I don't miss the MSN toolbar.

Now, don't get me wrong--I'm not trying to convince anyone that FF is better than IE. It's all in what options better fit your needs and wants. I'm just looking for features that I may have missed on IE. I don't really care for IE because the ability to customize is one of my primary "needs and wants" and IE doesn't offer much in that area. I'm also concerned about security with IE. I know that Microsoft has had a lot of problems in the past with security holes and even if they've gotten them all fixed, I'm still a little bit leery of MS products. I do admit to using Outlook, which is probably the biggest security risk of all time (most likely because it's high profile and most often targeted). I do that because I use Franklin-Covey planning software and it only integrates with Outlook.

So what can IE do that FF can't?

Look, I'm just saying that a completely stripped down version of Firefox (no extensions / plugins etc) has less options than IE. Just click "Tools > Internet Options" in IE and you will see what I mean (when comparing it to Firefox's Tools > Options.

I'm no fan of IE, but it is only when you install plugins and extensions to FF that it becomes more "powerful".

Well, I think that's the way it was INTENDED, DrPoodle. And it's one of the things that I like about FF. With IE, Microsoft decides what extensions you will have and won't have and you can either like it or lump it. If there's a feature in IE that you don't want, it's just too bad. You're stuck with it. If there's a feature that you want that isn't there, again, it's just too bad. With FF, if there's a feature that you want, just ADD it.

IMO, comparing a fully stripped FF to IE is like comparing a new car that you order to one straight off the showroom floor. With the one off the floor, you get the options that the DEALER picked. When you order one, you start off with NO options and then add the options that you actually WANT.

I am a Firefox user, but I think that if they made some of the extensions built-in, it would atract a lot more people.

That would only make the file, more to download, and longer to load, in the beginning (depending on how much ram you have).

Certainly, a person should read up on a subject, and understand how it works before he jumps into it...

I know that is the way it is intended to be, and yes it is a good thing that you can add stuff, but it gives out a lesser first impression to a regular internet user. I know this because I told my friend to install it and he was unimpressed (because of the lack of features) until I showed him how to add extensions.

Calm down? Don't get angry? DUDE! I don't know where you're getting this "don't get angry" bit but I think you're reading a WHOLE LOT into my post that isn't there. It's a very simple and civil discussion. Why are you trying to make it out like I'm angry? You need to reign your imagination in a little bit. Nobody's getting excited here but you.
