Well I have no idea, Takes like 1 hour for me :S
I am hearing alot about this windows 7. Looks like I am going to have to try it out.

The minimum pc specs i had last time was Pentium4 with 512mb ram. Installed XP os for only 30min. Maybe your hardware has problem.
Amped, I would'nt even try to use windows 7 if my xp installs for 1 hour.

The reason Windows installs slower is because They are very large OS's

Your HDD might not have an awsome write speed.

That's weird. I've never had it take longer than 40mins and I've installed it on a machine that had 512MB ram and a 1.8GhZ speed. It might just be your HD read/write speed. If that's not the case you might have some hard drive issues.
