If your not in pain then wait for a couple of years.
If you are then have it when your 18.
Also i'd go for the pig valve

I would get it as soon as possible especially if it is something that you need to have done. I would go at age 18. I would say to get the mechanical valve because you get surgery sooner. I know getting surgery more often doesn't seam too good, but the doctors can see if something went wrong. The sooner and the more often, the better overall.
