I don't see why you *need* to learn English unless you live in an anglophone country. If you live in Denmark, for example, you can go through life only speaking Danish. Why wouldn't you be able to? However, if you travel abroad, you're going to need to know English. If a Dane goes to Poland, what language is he going to speak? English, of course. Unless he can find someone who speaks Danish, or unless he speaks Polish himself.
