Xbox360 E74 Support?

For anyone who has used Microsoft's support, can they please walk me through the process of getting them to fix my Xbox which has the E74 error?

for E74 errors they give you 3 years from either the purchase date or the last fix date. their policy is really confusing so what i just said is about as basic and simple of an explanation as you can get. If it's within 3 years, its completely free ;D

Its been more than 3 years, but somehow, they're doing it for free. All I gotta do is pay to ship it there.
