Preferred desktop environment when using Linux?

I can't currently put Linux on my PC, but out of all I've tried (just Ubuntu and Kubuntu), I'd say I liked Ubuntu's desktop environment more.

OSX is based on UNIX. Linux is a UNIX clone. Unix as a home pc is about (Quoted from a veteran linux user)
