How To Manually Open NAT For XBL

Go to your Xbox and do the following:

Step 1: Go to System Settings

Step 2: Click on Network Settings

Step 3: Click on Configure Network

Step 4: Click on Manual

Now go to your computer and do the following:

Step 1: Open up Command Prompt
Step 2: Type in "ipconfig" and then hit Enter
Step 3: Take note of the IPv4 Address, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway.
Step 4: Type in your Default Gateway address into the address bar of your Internet browser.
Step 5: Type in your login details to your router.
Step 6: Go to your Applications and Gaming / Port Forwarding menu.

Step 7: Forward the ports to any Local IP you wish to assign to your Xbox.

Now go back to your Xbox:

Step 1: Match the IP Address with the Local IP you assigned to your Xbox on the router.
Step 2: Match the Subnet Mask
Step 3: Match the Gateway
Step 4: Test Connection

NOTE: This method requires that you "Test Connection" on your Xbox every time you sign on (at least for me).

If you make your NAT settings really strict. Does that mean you could "lock" a lobby?

If you make your NAT settings really strict. Does that mean you could "lock" a lobby?

I would think so, but that could effect others in your lobby as well unless you're using Zone Alarm to limit your connection and their IPs are under the trusted area.
