Linux does have several security related advantages over Windows. But this comes with several limitations. Here are some external links providing additional information about each seperate Operating System.
I primarily use Windows. Just for ease of use, and ive been working with Windows for years.

If you are in for security, I suggest Linux. However if you prefer ease of use, I suggest Windows.

I will always love Windows more, but Linux is quite interesting and I'd like to give it a try when I get another laptop.

Yes, indeed. The process is quite risky in fact, it has been responsible for nasty system break downs. If you wish to see a Linux flavour though, using a Virtualbox would be safe.

Dual booting's pretty easy. You need to install Linux after Windows though.

Windows wins because you have to do a lot of things to linux to get it working properly but windows simple to find stuff.
