Facebook & FireFox
#1
When I use the Facebook chat in FireFox and chatting with someone, and opening a new tab to do other things, when they send a new message, it locks up.

Has anyone else had this problem?

No, you can try a different browser and see if it locks up.

I know this was posted a while ago, but perhaps it has something to do with the version of firefox that you have. Update it and see if the problem persists.

Also, I used to get this problem, but that was when I was using the firefox that you install on the system. I then discovered the portable version of Firefox, which does not leave any personal information on the computer that you use it on and the problem stopped. You can get it here: http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable

I strongly recommend this, because I have been using this since then and I do not regret it one bit.

Yes, This problem had happened to be before but it was on google chrome. In Firefox I had it so I decided to re-install it and then it was fixed Smile

Yeah it happens to me sometimes. I also have PM glitches, where it says there's an unread PM but there's actually not.

I haven't had that problem yet, but my friend has.

He restarted FF, and it started working again.

This has something to do with your system specifications, I believe. I tested two computers both using Firefox (similar versions). One lagged (1 GB RAM).

You can try re-installing Firefox, or try using another Browser.
Maybe delete your cookies and history?
