HDD Corrupt?

Hey I have a Proberm,

I thing my Hdd is corrupt everytime i try to load windows it dosent load and when I try to reinstall windows it wont reinstall dose that mean its corrupt ?

Please I need Help ASAP so i can go and get a HDD

Best option is to buy a new drive.

Then attach your old drive as a secondary to see if you can at least recover your files.

This assume you have HDD failure and that you're not infected.

How old is the drive? It may still be under warranty. Once it's replaced you can send it to manufacturer for replacement or to be fixed. However any data on it will be lost so you must backup beforehand. Normally warranty is 3-4 years on new drives.

Well everything is backed up and also i have had the drive for well over 5 years now so im guessing the drive had just got old and died out

Yes it's time to trash it. You can still use my method to hook it up and get data off it. But it's going to be unreliable from now on so it's useless as a write drive.
