I know this is an old thread, but I'll post my favorite tutorial site here in case anyone else reads this. I really enjoy lynda.com's tutorials. Granted, the XHTML tutorials are quite tedious, considering the narrator is terrible, but there're great tutorials on using Dreamweaver, which also consequently teach CSS. The narrator in the Dreamweaver tutorials is amazingly funny and informative. If you can get your hands on "Dreamweaver CS4 Essential Training", you'll learn a LOT.

w3schools has everything, but i also find downloading prebuilt templates then recoding them, moving things around ect helps alot. Well it helped me

I highly recommend http://www.w3schools.com if you're a beginner, but advanced knowledge can only be found in higher education (college) or out in the field.
