ADSL on a ethernet network?
#1
Hi,

I have always worked with a 3G USB modem on my network but now we are going to put in an ADSL line that plugs into your ethernet plug on your computer.

So, my question is, if I put another network card into my computer will I be able to plug the ADSL line into my computer and still share the connection on the network of 4 computers in total.

I hope you understand my question but let me put it like this.
ADSL line into server, all 3 the other computers into the hub, server into the hub, and then anybody can connect to the internet together.

Please help.

Why buying a new network card if your ADSL Modem has an extra internet ports for internet sharing?

And yes if you follow the example you gave at the end it will work.
