I would not like to see this, as it wouldn't, in my opinion, be of benefit to the forums. It would look odd too.

Sounds like a good idea to me as this site is made for Tutorials, examples and more...
The only bad thing is the security vulnerabilities which will cause crucial damage to this site. However if some tags that cause security problems get disabled might do the work. Note that there might be alternative ways to bypass it but then again Omni won't be happy about it.

If you really want HTML, make some sort of MyCode for the elements you want.

People keep talking about security issues, but no one is giving examples. He's already said the iframe/script tags would need to be disabled. And stealign IP addresses? You can't do that with HTML/CSS; you'd need a scripting language like PHP. I personally think it'd just be easier to make a 'test page' if you want to preview HTML/CSS code. I understand that it'd probably be easier to show something like <marquee> if it was just in the same post, but think: what if you want to teach how to place a banner in a website, or how to manipulate <div> elements? You'd be confined to the space of the post, and I don't think that'd be enough in most cases. It'd be esaiest to just make a test webpage on like ripway.

You're right Elektrisk, a example page is better choise for such things.
But I was more about, to have a ability to design your posts... That also can be done with adding new myCodes.. It doesn't need to be CSS though...

People use PHP scripts to display images.
They use these for random avatar images and/or signatures. All you'd need to do is add a line or two of code, and BOOM. Instant IP Theft. GamerCraft

If I wanted to steal all of your IP addresses, I could make my own PHP script that logs IP addresses while displaying an image too. <Aoi-chan> everyone's first vi session. ^C^C^X^X^X^XquitqQ!qdammit[esc]qwertyuiopasdfghjkl;:xwhat
