Secondly, I just tried using Photoshop through Wine and it doesn't work, so I highly suggest keeping a Windows partition. Stupid thing is, I have the Photoshop Splash screen in the middle of my desktop and I can't get rid of it.. lol
I personally don't recommend using Mint, but I guess it's because I'm used to Linux... I recommend Ubuntu for beginners.

Because Mint always gave me troubles....would slow down after about a day or so....and the way it was set-up; I didn't like it. The feel of mint is also awkward....so based on personal experience, I recommend Ubuntu.

IMO, Mint and Ubuntu are practically the same OS, with different interfaces. But that's just my two cents. Smile
At the top will be the same place you hang from.
