What Linux distro do you use/like/reccommend?

By "features" do you mean the MintAssistant, MintBackup etc? Or do you mean something else?

That, but it also has integrated media codecs.

I've used Linux before, but my graphic card can only use the cool special effects if I use a single screen, if I use my dual screen the special effects don't work. Which option would you choose? Dual screen without special effects or Single screen with special effects?

Ubuntu or mint is good. I use ubuntu, but I understand why people my choose mint over ubuntu. The way I see it , they are basically the same, mint just looks pretty, however with some owrk with ubuntu, it can look just as good.
