People who think this are ignorant. Proven fact, the world's largest advant calendar runs out in 2012 that is why people think were all going to die. The world will not end then as it is suspected to end one day in the future that no one knows but 2010 they will just make another calendar and then when that calander runs out someone will say omg where going to die - this is vagualy pathetic

It's more to do with Planet X Nibiru and the Pole Shift of Earth.
The world will not end, people think something like 2/3 of the population will be wiped out.

I cba to read through the other posts but here's my opinion/belief.

From what I've read and all the other research I've done, the world isn't necessarily going to end 2012. It represents a new change/era in the world. Where everything changes. The Mayan's calender had 5 of these "ages" and this is the end of the last one, however all the end of the previous ages have ended in bloodshed and destruction so that might be something to be concerned about. Mayan's were extremely accurate with their predictions, but if they were so clever why didn't they invent something more technical? It's really hard to explain in words, but I'm sure you get the point
