I couldn't figure it out and was hoping you guys could.
9x 7i < 3(3x 7u)

Whoever gave you that equation is a nerd.

I'm going to assume that you typed it wrong and that it was supposed to be: 9x-7i > 3(3x-7u). I'm also going to assume that the variable "i" doesn't stand for the imaginary number √-1. Why am I making so many assumptions you ask?

9x-7i > 3(3x-7u)
9x-7i > 9x - 21u
-7i > -21u
i < 3u ...aka "i <3 u"

Difficult equation? That's easier then the easiest equations we had on our algebra test this semester. And i'm only 16.. (Dunno what grade as i'm from sweden and don't know the US grade system.)
