[Help] Connection going really slow
#11
Shity our on the ball!
:S
Keep harassing optus.
Run a speed test at http://www.speedtest.net/
Theres a server for Perth so it latency shouldn't be a problem.
Post it here, and if its crap then you know for sure (as well as proving to any would-be flamer).

See what I mean? Absolute fail.
At the top will be the same place you hang from.

Ha yeah.
That sucks.
You'll probably need a technician to come to your house and check some crap out.
Good luck!

C Grade. Pretty fail. They didn't have a Perth so I had to use Sydney.

Some ISP has a limited download usage. I've tha same problem too. My internet download speed going down to 4kbps. It's really dissapointing me. This is because I've reached the fair usage threashold and then they cut my download speed. Maybe it's the same with you. If you do, the speed will be normal after first day of the new month.

Um i don't think reseting your router had anything to do with it. Do you use dsl? if so restet your modem (the box that plugs into the wall and your router) if cable same. How many computers do you have on your network? is it wireless or wired? also do you have 2 diffrent subnets (ie 255.255.255.0 on one computer and 255.255.0.0 on another) and do your ip's match 192.168.1.x and on the other 192.168.1.x. And perfore your speed test pluged directly into the MODEM and share your results.

Here's my results after going through 2 routers in my LAN wireless and i have 4 computer and 2 xbox all hooked up and running

I really suggest calling your ISP and having them go to your house to check your modem or phone line.
Good and Bad you Decide.
