Deadly asteroid headed for earth (poll)

Lets be honest though.
If NASA knew right now that a meteor was coming to Earth and going to wipe out humanity, would they let us know?
No chance. It would create Kaos! The only course of action that could be taken is to try not let the public know.

On a slightly different spin. Did anyone hear about the possible planet behind Neptune?
How smart are we when we can miss a planet the size of earth or possibly bigger?
Seriously look back in this thread. People suggest NASA can predict within millimeters of a meteors trajectory.
I find that a little hard to believe when they miss a whole planet? Dont you?

Hate to bump an old thread.
The Meteor hitting Russia last night reminded me of this and felt it might be worth sparking the old thread back to life.
It appears NASA and the likes completely missed this object?
Perhaps too busy looking at DA14? im not sure.
Either way it does show that objects of a reasonable size can and do hit earth without NASA and the likes knowing.
Just thankful it was not a little bigger and thankfully it did not kill anyone.
Must admit it was an exciting view to watch it burn up in the atmosphere.
I would have loved to get a chunk of that rock. Would be worth a fortune i imagine.
