New desktop computer doesn't see connections
#1
I just got a new Asus desktop computer but there is a problem with connection to any networks. It has what looks like a computer, a cable and a red X on the bottom. When clicked it says 'Not connected' and says that there are no connections available.

I'm not sure what else to add so information will be available upon request.

Thanks in advance,

For this you have to do some settings. Please follow these steps.
Go to the control panel ---> network and internet -- >network and sharing
view status ( link after Local area connection
properties
double click on Internet protocol version IPv6 (you will need to repeat these steps with IPv4 also)
Then click on IPV4
click ok and restart your computer with your cable connected
If your problem was your IP address this will resolve it.
