Help with editing wordpress

I need help with wordpress. Mostly along the lines of finding a good theme. I have looked everywhere and I can't seem to find one that does what i want it to do. Is there anybody that knows where i can get good themes or if i describe what i want knows where a theme like that is?

A blog type layout with a nice home page. I found some i like but idk how to make the pages in a blog format. Like when i make a new page and make a post on it, it's not in blog type formatting

As in, will it be based around technology? Your personal daily life? Etc.
