I'm currently adding some parts up (not yet purchased) for a high-end, yet not too expensive, gaming computer I'm about to build.

Total = £1319.92

At a glance, does this look fine? Is there any changes I could make to improve it (without adding much more cost), etc.

If you wanted to bring it down, I'd go with a cheaper case. Also, where do you plan to buy these parts from. I've saved about £560 once when buying from micro direct rather than maplin

I'm buying my parts Aria. I'd never buy parts from Maplin as they're way overpriced =P

Eeyup, that's where I buy *some* my parts from!

I'm using http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Component...ctId=48197 which is a little cheaper (buy a few pounds) but is overall a good case.

Like I said, check other places like micro-direct first before you pay their prices.

I've heard somwhere that 3TB HDD's sometimes fail, besides that
good job, good high-end system.

Its always good to have room to expand in the future.

16GB of RAM may be a little too much depending on how many programs you run and how much memory they use.

I agree with you. You should buy 2x1TB HDD's and one 60GB SSD for OS storage.

Yeah, agreed, SSD's are much much better and faster for performance,

His setup should be
1x60GB (SSD)
2x2TB (HDD)
1x 500GB (backup)
Because this is a very high-end system, i think he should have enough money to
provide such a thing.
