Become Emotionless?
#11
Believe me, not having any emotion is a bad thing.
Just try to focus on the good.

You should research the Stoics, they had similar ideas about becoming as emotionless as possible.

I've become very good at suppressing my emotions.
How to do it? NEVER talk about your feelings to someone. If someone asks something, just talk rubish.
After a while you will become numb.

My brother died 2 years ago. I cried once, at the funeral. That's all. People asked how I did that.

Buuut;
Don't do it. Bad thing. I want to get rid of it now, but it ain't that easy.

Please LISTEN to your emotions! You're feeling what you're feeling for a reason. And even though they can be extremely painful at times, they are necessary. You'll be thankful for your emotions as you learn and grow from your experiences and work through your issues, especially once you begin to experience happiness and peace. I'm really spiritual, and i think our soul communicates through emotions. Hang in there, with time and the right choices, it will get better.

You only need to meditate and get in the "Nirvana State". In sramanic thought, it is the state of being free from suffering. In Hindu philosophy, it is the union with the Supreme being through moksha. The word literally means "blowing out"—referring in the Buddhist context, to the blowing out of the fires of greed, hatred, and delusion.

The mind is aware; it is conscious. In many places the Buddha describes his enlightenment in terms of "knowing". With nirvana the consciousness is released, and the mind becomes aware in a way that is totally unconstrained by anything in the conditioned world. The Buddha describes this in a variety of passages. One way is as follows:

"Consciousness without feature, without end, luminous all around."

I know a way to become emotionless and have fun doing it. But, there is no way to reverse the effects since it is caused by an illegal drug.

Even if I wanted to tell you; I wouldn't because it will make life dull till you die.

A life without emotions is pointless.

OMG almost every reply in this thread is bullshit... except for Ace's and iCrack's...

First of all;
Emotions are humans most powerful weapon, if used right...
Choosing to ignore them, is not healthy for one's life...

Now, if you are tired of emotions, that is an emotion...
You can learn to "ignore" them in an extent where you don't show that you feel something, but the inner life is always happending and you feel it no matter what you display...

To become emotionless to others, you need to focus on one emotion at all times, displaying only this emotion in every situation and event...
As Shattering has said it, do not talk about it...

Keep in mind that this can and will backfire, resulting in destroying your mind... I can't see a reason why someone would want to do that...

In order for me to give you right advice and learn your correct methods... I need to know what you want to accomplish with this action...

Do you want to appear to others as "Hard/Tough"?
Do you want to be able to do things which you are unable to do because of your emotions a.k.a morals? (for example slapping your mother just becasue you want to (which is triggered by an emotion) )
Do you want to stenghten your character, by showing no signs of Mercy?

Please explain to me what do you actually want to become, emotionless can be so many things for me and others to give your correct adivce...

You're incorrect here, it may be impossible to not feel pain unless you're on some highly drug to suppress the signals that your brain intercepts. But it is possible to stop emotions. I discussed this in a recent post of mine in this thread. You can feel things, but that doesn't mean they NEED to come out in an emotion.
