I want a new group!

HQP Group.

A group you can join if your posts are high quality. Make it a "rare" group and only put the most dedicated members in it.

That might encourage some better quality posting.

Now that's an excellent suggestion. Perhaps only Omniscient could pick members to join the group, that sort of thing. That would really encourage great quality posting and would benefit SF.

I'm going to work off this idea, except Omni has better things to do than decide who joins a group. That'd be the communities decision.

Agreed. But it wouldn't take much time. He could simply decide one day that 'Member' has been doing good things lately and that they deserve to be added into the group. Then they're in.

Alternatively, that could be the job of the group owners.

He was going to make the Webmasters group official, but there was no leader with the requirements met, and willing to do it.

I'm sure there are many able and active webmasters here that are willing.

Not forgetting that the requirement to lead a group is 500 posts though as well.

Me, you, Sam, Fragma, etc can easily handle managing a group like that.
