Those only do .flv and that means another proram. They also don't go anout 480 when this one goes to 1080.

You can download from keepvid in MP4 as well as in a variety of different formats, and you can also download up to 1080P.

I use a Youtube downloader combined with conversion functionality using ffmpeg created by a member on my forum Works great, and zlib I believe was used to compress ffmpeg. by about 60 or 70%

Yeah, there are different methods to help download videos from YouTube, no matter from the cache folder, or website service like keepvid, savevid.
I prefer the totally automatic way to download and record YouTube videos.
The YouTube Video Recorder is what I am using now.
It enables me record several YouTube videos at same time and convert them to mp4 for my iPhone.
It's pretty easy and fast way!

Sites like http://www.videocenneti.com are much more faster, they convert it straight from the web
I use that more often, it gives you the option of what kind of file, and the quality.
