He is all bark, no bite.
He is a great lad though.

You should show some responsibility, do what you're suppose to and behave. Show them how much you actually want that dog, don't stress it. Do what you're suppose to for a month or two, then break down and ask for a dog. Make sure you pick the right time, when you're comfortable and so is your parents. Then ask for it, make sure you stay on your word. I did that for a cat, it worked. I don't know if your parents are the type that would understand, so it might not work.
