Each girl has 2 legs, so total each girl accounts for 1570 legs.

1568 x 7 = 10,990

I'm sorry, but this thread deserves to be gravedug. After multiple-multiple tries (I'm talking around 5-10) I finally got the right sum! Here's how I did it:

7 Girls = 14 Legs
7 Backpacks p/girl = 49 backpacks

49x7=343 big cats

343x7=2401 small cats

343x4=1372 big cats legs

2401x4=9604 small cats legs

9604+1372+14 = 10990!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
