7 little cats = 28 legs
56 legs per backpack
56 x 7 = 392
392 x 7 = 2744
2,744 + 14 = 2758
2758 + 2 = 2760
2,760 legs are on that bus.

2401 * 4 = 9604 legs
+ 7*2 legs of human = 9618

(7 girls) x (2 legs) = 14 female legs
(7 girls) x (7 backpacks) x (7 big cats) x (4 legs) = 1372 big cat legs

(1372 big cat legs) / 4 = 343 big cats
(343 big cats) x (7 little cats) x (4 legs) = 9604 little cat legs

Total legs = 14 + 343 + 9604 = 9961 legs?

Did I miss something? lol... I see the trick here!! one or more of the cats has a disorder that enables them to have 5 legs!!

It's because of the combination of 7's that messes you up, 7 girls, each girl 7 backpacks, each backpack 7 big cats, each big cat 7 small cats.

lol it does, we have some good members as well now. I had to use my perl calculator I created to solve this because the normal calculator by default can't do multiple operations.
