Firefox Javascript Error
#1
Sorry if this in the wrong section.

I keep geting a javascript popup box that says:
Quote:[Exception... "An invalid or illegal string was specified" code: "12" nsresult: "0x8053000c (NS_ERROR_DOM_SYNTAX_ERR)" location: "chrome://plugin/content/jquery-1.4.2.min.js Line: 112"]
heres an example
I don't know why though, It happens when I'm browsing sites at random.
I tried googling but found no solution, even uninstalled Firefox.

What could be the possible reason this pops up?

I am having the same problem. It just started today after I uninstalled firefox 6 and reinstalled firefox 5. here is the total error copied and paste... [Exception... "An invalid or illegal string was specified" code: "12" nsresult: "0x8053000c (NS_ERROR_DOM_SYNTAX_ERR)" location: "chrome://plugin/content/jquery-1.4.2.min.js Line: 112"]. There is nothing else to read or anything to open so I don't know how to find line 112. If you could help me I would appreciate it very much. Thank you.

Yes there is:
Code:
plugin/content/jquery-1.4.2.min.js

Line 112 in that file
