Spudster... You're just too desprate, I personally don't feel like joining the forum. You need to relax with your promotions, don't force it on people. It's like talking to a bot instead of a real person. It's actually quite annoying.

I'm trying to help you, and you just tell me to join your forum? lol I'll refer to your signature too, stuff that "Bold" usually looks more like spam to a person on a first impression.

Don't stop promoting your forum, but you don't need a link to it wherever you can fit it in..

This would be desperation to me. I've not seen anyone try to force memberships on their forum like you have been doing lol. All i'm saying is, relax, work on something for your site. Get members opinions, you're not going to have a forum with 1000 members in a day, no matter what you do it just doesn't work that way.

Maybe there's not a lot of people that have something to share with the idea of what your site is about?

A Windows forum is never going to be less popular than a linux forum. Unless Windows completely gets blown off the market.

Make a few posting contests, basically promote your forum a little bit more, and you might succeed.
