Vista eats a lot more RAM then 7, but I love it, I guess it's because Vista looks a thousand times better then 7.

I hate it. I had it on my PC and laptop I upgraded on my PC to windows 7 and downgraded on my laptop to XP.

I remember when vista came out and I bought a vista laptop all it did is hogged the ram and bugged out lol.

lol well you can change that easily by setting the transparency down a notch or off. There's also registry settings that enable you to set the amount of transparency.

Personally i'm not one for visuals at all anyway, I go with functionality and performance, if windows classic view on an OS runs better, then i'll use it.

And W7 is just Vista, with some small additional features, and it eats less RAM.

No, that's actually not correct, they revamped the entire way data transfer works on Windows 7. Benchmark tests show Windows 7 way above Vista in a few areas. Windows 7 was also designed for tablets, and improved compatibility support.
