I did. It kept asking me to set it as my default browser, and no matter what I did, it kept wanting to open Chrome if I clicked on a link from an IM or email or opened an html file.

It was an amazing find, and I'm glad that it's there.

Try right clicking Iron, and choose 'run as administrator'. IIRC, you have to have admin right to set the default browser. So if you don't run it as admin, it's not actually going to change, even if you click yes when it asks if you want to set it as your default browser.

Ah, well it's still probably a rights issue, try running it with Sudo.

I know how to set the default browser. What I'm saying is that even when it WAS set as the default browser, for some reason everything opened in Chrome instead. I'm not sure why. Thanks for trying to help though.

Haha, you should try Iron, it's exactly like chrome but more secure. Better 'under the hood' stuff.
