For what reason though? Are you creating a partition so that you can run Linux or another Operating System on your drive?

Compressing drives is just a hassle really, just upgrade.

Quit spamming for the feather, you obviously don't know the purpose behind doing this. You'll never be able to create a partition if you don't shrink it.

Also, it's not "compression, it's just branching off the "free space" of a drive into unallocated space so that you can format it into another volume or partition.
