Would you buy SF membership?

I would probably buy it just to support the site if there was membership. But there's not really a need for it. Although badges and private sections are nice.

In any term, I would NOT consider purchasing it, not a good idea for a community forum, Were here to help.. not become better members then each other.

i agree with this i dont like the bullying on HF, im also ub3r but you need to understand the precaution that need to be taking with the member with like 5-10 post and want to buy stuff from you most likely with stolen paypal that will fudge you over.

I really just don't see it being very popular here. We'd need 1000 members logging in per day for a paid membership to be effective and attractive. We have a couple hundred right now and that's good but no where near what we need for a paid membership.

We don't need the money really. I'm happy with the site progression as it stands now.

I think the main reason behind it not being implemented yet, is that the majority believe all members on SF should be treated equally, rather than having some members treated differently based on whether or not they are premium. When you have a premium option, some members also tend to develop an ego, and this can lead to arguments.

Support Forums is exactly that, a forum for support, and I think in order for this to remain a professional and high quality community, we need to keep everybody on the same level. Everybody should be treated equally.

But I think SF will turn out massive eventually, though I think some of your other projects will still outshine it.
