Go with a German Shepard if you want a loyal dog. But you have to keep them busy a lo and train them properly or they are a pain in the but.

I'd recommend getting a husky, they are smart and playful. If you don't want a husky then you should look into a lab or a golden retriever. I have a golden retriever and she is a very smart and playful dog.
