From understanding the post I say you should not worry, I've been under weight before but I've just eaten constantly, not taking the mickey and eating loads I just eat more then I needed to ensure I got back on weight. Sorry for miss reading the post before. (06-04-2011, 11:32 AM)Sykez Wrote: That's really weird. How much calories do you burn from doing cardio? Quote:Oh yes he did, I miss read, sorry. I surely don't burn enough calories to keep me at this weight. I'm a pretty inactive person unless I'm at work or hanging out with someone away from home. I've been told not to worry quite a bit by people, but a 13 BMI is equal to if not lower than many people in third world countries that live off of a slice of bread per day. I don't feel like anything is wrong with me, but I wouldn't know because I've always been thin, just never this thin. For all I know I could be near death right now.

From what I can say is you'll need to contact you're doctor about you're problem or just eat loads.

These are questions for a doctor, if think you have tapeworm than you need to get checked ASAP.

I agree with fate. Get checked buddy.

You need to eat more, not more garbage either, drink whole milk, a liter or 2 a day, eat lots of chicken, fish and other meat.
There is no such thing as not being able to gain weight, you simply have to eat more. It's not hard.

I'm extremely thin too. I know there's google, but I find it better reading answers here: If I do have a tapeworm infection, what would the doctor do? Not that I'm scared, just need to know.

I've been skinny all of my life, I eat healthily, and I eat more than anybody else in my family, yet I don't gain much weight at all. It's not easy for me to gain weight, if it was, then I wouldn't still be skinny. For you to say it's not hard is actually quite annoying. It's as hard for me to gain weight, as it is for somebody who is obese to lose weight.

Preaching to the choir there Fragma, to maintain my current weight I have to eat 4,000 calories per day, 4,500 or more if I want to gain weight, putting me close to the highest possible metabolism, you truly do need to just eat more, more quality foods as well. Even if you think you're eating a lot you probably aren't, try using www.myfitnesspal.com to track your calories for a few days, it's surprising how much you have to eat to get in the 3,500+ range by eating quality foods. |
