Try what I said in an earlier post, it should detect if the harddrive has a problem. Smile

I had something like this once. Apparently my hard drive was broken.

Some time ago, I installed Linux, and restarted, but it never went past the grub. I had to use the repair discs to delete the grub, and rewrite the windows boot.

But, it did go past the intel screen to the grub.

Reformat the HD and install your OS over again.
