How to make a liveCD

I have used Linux quite a bit however, I have never made a live CD, and I don't know how. My friend has made 2 Live CD's for me although I need another one. Is anyone willing to give a very in depth explanation on How to do this.

Use backtrack, that's a LiveCD and it's Linux too

For USB:

Use http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/

Ok so i made a "live CD" but burnt it on to a DVD does that make a difference?

Ok so i put my live cd into my XP run computer and I hear the disk spin really fast when i restart it but then XP runs

Do i have to do anything to tell the computer to run the CD

Have you set it to boot from CD? In your bios that is...
