Not avast!...

Not AVG. It Fails. (It Didn't Detect a Whole Rogue Anti-Virus "Vista Security 2011")

Yes to MalwareBytes Anti-Malware.

Yes to ESET NoDoors 32 Anti-Virus Edition Only

Yes to Avira AntiVir Premium

Yes to Comodo Firewall

I would say this.
Get NOD32, only AV, not smart security.
Get MalwareBytes Anti Malware
Get ZoneAlarm PRO.

Thats how I do it, haven't "caught" anything for a few months.

ZoneAlarm PRO doesn't look like a very good program based on the reviews. It's firewall features are horrible too, considering that it's also not free.

No need to buy a AV. Free Avast or Avira are good and are detecting most viruses.

Avast is the best out of your list.
Id recommend a scanner: Malwarebytes Anti Malware. (Not realtime)

Technically they weren't born on SF so yes, you have to buy it. There is no discussion like that on SF.
