I've read that 3D tv's will give you headaches after long usage. You have to process more if it's 3D.

I have heard that they really hurt your eyes after watching for awhile. I would never buy one.

I would say waste of money, Unless your way to rich and put it in a spare room and name it "The 3D room" then yes.
For many home uses, it would be quite annoying wearing glasses all the time. Just wait a year or 2, you wont even need the glasses :p Learning in progress...
