Modding A Wii?

I already put a mention about Homebrew in one of my posts in this thread.

You don't need to do any internal modding with your WII if you use the Twilight game method. HomeBrew runs the game and you have several options within loading the copied game from Homebrew. Sometimes certain games run differently, (the odd one,) but I haven't had any troubles with 90% of the games that I use. The loader will give you options to force the NTSC to load, i'm not sure about PAL games if you live in Europe, but that would require different settings.

I thought about soft modding my wii before. I really want to but the thing that always stopped me was that I might brick it.
