I don't want to use WMC because my movie library is already over a terrabyte and it will get bigger. Not to mention, WMC already lags as it is. Any drive will NOT work because I need something big enough and with a quick enough transfer speed. I mentioned that in the OP.

You can get SanDisk USB's for about $4 for 4GB or $10 for 8GB at stores.

LaCie USB drives seem to be very popular and receive great reviews. I personally just use a standard SanDisk 8GB flashdrive, and it works fine.

I agree with the streaming.
If not, you could also just buy a VGA M-M w/ Audio and just play directly through your TV. That's what I do, and I'm pretty sure the quality comes out better than it would through streaming.
