This reminds me of an apple support forum that i've seen somewhere on the forum here lol. There's no demand for youtube support, and what else do you have to offer on the latest updated support that youtube can't already give you?
Joining your forum for that purpose would be the same as going to your mom for help on the exact foods/jewelry/clothing your girlfriend likes. Why not just ask your girlfriend? This was a waste of money for you.
If you make a forum just for the purpose of having a website you're doing it for the wrong reasons.

If there was no demand for youtube support their own support section wouldn't be filled with thousands of unanswered questions. When most people have a problem with something they go to google rather than looking for onsite support. Plus, the site is intended as more of a general help site for youtube based topics. I'm working on writing and recording some useful tutorials on stuff like customizing your channel, selecting good keywords for your videos, etc.

If this is true, then you do have a forum with potential. Also, although Google may provide conventional support for You Tube members, such is the technology that there are constantly evolving ways of using and enjoying it.
You Tube is also a means for communication in oppressed or uprising societies, and it would be fascinating if you could provide a venue where people can learn how to circumvent information-jamming by authoritarian states.

There's already videos on youtube itself for how to do those things. And what makes you think people are going to trust you with the official youtube support? lol (People who aren't even connected with the youtube administration)

If you focus 80% of your attention to these specialist topics, then I think it could quite possibly be successful.
Although you would need more.. You need to think of topics which people won't just read, and then click off. They need to have a reason to come back.

That's the thing though, I think you're wasting your time, since there's not a lot that you can cover that youtube itself won't already do. I"m not trying to stop you from doing this, i'm just showing you a few problems that you might have with making a forum like this. If they want to know why a video got deleted, people go to youtube to send a message or ask. The rest is fairly simple... Uploading videos/ etc. I haven't seen anyone with a problem in that case. Otherwise if they want to know how to make a youtube background, they look in the videos youtube has to offer.
You're forum won't cover a lot that will make people want to use your forum for a knowledge base resource. It just won't work in my opinion.
You may be able to show people how to add playlists and things like that to their channel, but there's not a whole lot of demand for that type of information, so having that extra information won't attract a lot of activity to your forum anyway. I believe you'd be more successful creating a blog really with this idea.

YouTube wouldn't care, it's just extra advertising for them on a small scale. Youtube would always come first before his site because of the SEO that YouTube has on google.
