I'm pretty sure there isn't a *best* anti-virus.
I can say, though, that you should probably stick with 1 anti-malware, 1 anti-virus, and SB S&D.
That will cover all your bases.

It depends what you're wanting an Anti-Virus for. I've found that through trying to evade them through my more black hat routes, that Avira are 100% the best Anti-Virus right now for detecting virus'. With that said they are nowhere near the best at catching virus' if they're running. For that I believe that Kaspersky is.
I hope I've given you some light on the subject.
