I don't think it would be possible because of software conflicts, try it though. Tongue

If there was to be a software issue involved, you wouldn't see the same third party titles coming out for both the Xbox and the PS3 seeing the immense cost for developing basically 2 different games.

The issues would be completely hardware related, and Xboxs can barely handle themselves as is, might as well trying to run discs with 3 times the data capacity.

Well, that explains enough.
Bluray's only redeeming quality is that they store 25gigs of data on a single disc.

Other than that, the extra junk is superficial.
After so much resolution your eyes won't pick up any more,
same with FPS, so after so much there's no point.

Which, 25 gig discs would be nice, but I highly doubt any one
is willing to switch out their disc drives just for that, especially
when there's these things called flash drives around.

Disc space is a limiting factor for developers, not exactly you personally.

Developers can render textures plenty times better than available on Xbox merely due to the mere availability. That and the handling capabilities of Xbox's processor to comprehend all that additional space that it has to be able to read.

In short, Xbox is too lazy to make these changes, at least with this generation. But I can guarantee you if Xbox wants to compete in the next console generation they better step up to the plate. Sony's already looking ahead, I really hope Microsoft is doing the same.
